Andriy Kovalskiy

Andriy Kovalskiy is a Professor in the Department of Physics, Engineering and Astronomy at Austin Peay State University, where he has been a faculty member since 2011. His research focuses on amorphous materials, radiation interactions, and nanofabrication, with extensive collaborations and leadership in NSF-funded projects.

Education:

• Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Ukraine
• B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Radioelectronic Materials Engineering from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Ukraine

Research Interests: Kovalskiy investigates atomic/electronic structures of non-oxide glasses, radiation-induced transformations, and nanolithography techniques. His work spans photodissolution, X-ray spectroscopy, and amorphous optical materials for micro/nanophotonics. Key methodologies include EXAFS, XANES, Raman spectroscopy, and positron annihilation.

Publication Trends: Recent articles emphasize chalcogenide glasses, thin-film photoresponse, nanostructuring, and radiation effects.
