Andrey Launov

Dr. Andrey Launov is a Senior Lecturer in Labour Economics and Director of Graduate Studies at the University of Kent. His research employs microeconometric methods to evaluate labor policies and quantify workforce dynamics.

Research focuses on unemployment flow analysis, job search monitoring systems, working time flexibility impacts, and informal employment in developing economies. Recent publications examine German unemployment reduction mechanisms and working time account effects on employee turnover.

Supervision includes PhD candidates working on labor market informality and policy evaluation. As Director of Graduate Studies, he oversees MSc programs and leads the school's Macroeconomics, Growth and History research center initiatives.
