Andrew Teton is an Adjunct Faculty member in the MA in Clinical Psychology program at Antioch University Santa Barbara, where he has been teaching since 2005. His work focuses on trauma counseling, interpersonal neurobiology, and integrative body therapy. He received Antioch’s Excellence in Teaching Award in 2017 and has been active in community mental health initiatives.
- Education: Master's in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Santa Barbara
- Training: Hakomi Integrative Body Therapy (2-year program), Interpersonal Neurobiology (3-year program at Dan Siegel’s Mindsight Institute)
Research and Practice Focus:
Andrew specializes in trauma counseling for adult survivors of childhood sexual molestation, with expertise in Hakomi therapy and interpersonal neurobiology. He has led support groups for this population for 19 years and delivered continuing education classes for 24 years.
Professional Contributions:
As a board member of the local California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) chapter and a participant in Dr. Daniel Siegel’s MindSight study group, Andrew bridges academic and clinical communities through publications (editorials and book reviews) and leadership roles.
