Dr. Andrew T Ainsworth is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at California State University, Northridge, within the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. He also serves as the Director of the Center for Assessment, Research, and Evaluation (CARE).
Education:

Research Interests: Dr. Ainsworth specializes in quantitative methods and program evaluation. With 20 years of experience, his work focuses on impact assessments of community and school-based interventions for Latino and African American populations. He has extensive expertise in designing and analyzing large-scale surveys in both English and Spanish, as well as conducting focus groups and semi-structured interviews. His methodological strengths include advanced psychometric analyses and latent variable modeling.
Advising and Grants: As Director of CARE, Dr. Ainsworth has secured and managed grants for program evaluations across multiple domains. He has supervised graduate students in the Psychological Science Master’s Program and mentored junior researchers in quantitative methodology and evaluation techniques.
Labs and Teams: Dr. Ainsworth leads the Center for Assessment, Research, and Evaluation (CARE), which provides consultation and support for research design, data collection, and analysis to faculty, staff, and students at CSUN.
