معرفی
Andrew Schwartz is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Southeast Missouri State University. He teaches Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Discrete Mathematics, Graph Theory, and Combinatorics. His research focuses on graph theory problems including Zero Forcing numbers and generalized matchings in trees and forests.
- B.A. in Mathematics, Eastern Illinois University
- M.A. in Mathematics, Eastern Illinois University
- Ph.D. in Mathematics, Southern Illinois University-Carbondale
Dr. Schwartz organizes the IL-MO Regional Undergraduate Mathematics Conference and serves as faculty advisor for the Math Club. He advocates for active learning and student engagement in mathematics education.
His publications analyze structural properties of trees and forests through generalized matching problems, contributing to combinatorial graph theory. Recent research trends include distance distributions and specialized graph invariants.
- Outstanding Ph.D. Teaching Assistant Award, Southern Illinois University-Carbondale
