Andrew Schramm

Dr. Andrew Schramm is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin, specializing in the Division of Trauma & Acute Care Surgery. His clinical practice focuses on the psychological needs of trauma survivors and those with chronic illnesses, particularly addressing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) through evidence-based therapies. He holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of South Carolina and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at MCW.

Research Interests: Dr. Schramm’s work centers on traumatic injury, suicide prevention, intimate partner violence, and mental health disparities. He investigates the psychological impact of trauma, healthcare system responses to violence survivors, and community-based intervention strategies.
