Dr. Andrew Parker is a Senior Lecturer in Cognitive Psychology at Manchester Metropolitan University's School of Psychology, where he earned his PhD. He teaches cognition and neuroscience across undergraduate to PhD levels and supervises research projects. His primary research examines human memory systems, particularly retrieval processes, long-term memory, and experimental methodologies.
Dr. Parker's research focuses on:
- Explicit and implicit memory systems
- Effects of eye movements on memory retrieval
- Directed forgetting mechanisms
- Autobiographical memory accuracy
- False memory formation
- Cognitive neuroscience of memory
