Andrew Newman

Andrew Newman is a Professor in the School of Accounting at the University of South Carolina's Darla Moore School of Business, where he has taught since 2013. His research examines management accounting, incentive systems, and behavioral aspects of organizational control, with publications in leading journals including The Accounting Review, Accounting Organizations and Society, and Contemporary Accounting Research.

Research focuses on incentive structures, performance feedback mechanisms, and the behavioral implications of relative performance information in organizational settings. His work combines experimental methods with practical applications for financial control systems.
