Andrew Moreo

Andrew Moreo is an Associate Professor of Hospitality Management at Florida International University's Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (SHTM), where he has served since August 2016. He also holds the position of Director of Research and teaches undergraduate courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats.

• Education: B.A. from Oklahoma State University
• Culinary Arts Certificate from the Culinary Institute of America
• M.S. in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management from the University of Delaware
• Ph.D. in Hospitality Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas

Dr. Moreo's research focuses on employee and consumer behavior in the food and beverage sector, exploring emotional labor impacts on customer perceptions and organizational culture effects on employee behavior. He leads efforts to modernize teaching methods as part of the 'Hospitality X' team, redesigning courses like Senior Seminar and Restaurant Management.

His scholarly work has been published in top-tier journals such as the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, with additional contributions through refereed conference presentations and media appearances as a hospitality expert. Dr. Moreo also serves on editorial review boards for the International Hospitality Review and the Journal of Global Business Insights.
