Andrew McInnes is a Reader in English Literature at Edge Hill University's English & Creative Arts department. His academic work focuses on Romantic period women's writing, the Gothic, children's literature, and theories of wit and humor. He co-directs the EHU Nineteen research group, organizing seminars and conferences like the 2022 'New Romanticisms' BARS/NASSR event.
