Dr. Andrew Jheon is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. He holds a PhD in Biochemistry (2001) and DDS (2005) from the University of Toronto, followed by orthodontic certification from UCSF.

His research focuses on optimizing tooth movement efficiency, craniofacial development mechanisms, and enamel biology. Notable contributions include discovering the AJ18/Znf354c gene's role in bone development and creating an adult mouse model for inducible enamel synthesis. He has published over 40 scientific articles and received multiple grants/awards for his work.
As a clinician, he is ABO board-certified and actively involved in the American Association of Orthodontics (AAO).
