Andrew J. Bodwell

LTC Andrew J. Bodwell is a Lecturer in the Department of Chemical & Biological Science & Engineering at the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he teaches CH275 (Introduction to Biology). He holds a Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) from the New England College of Optometry and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Maine.

Bodwell’s research and professional interests span Biology, Optometry, and Vision Rehabilitation, with a focus on Military Medicine and Clinical Practice. His career includes a residency in Vision Rehabilitation at the SUNY College of Optometry, leadership roles in the Army Medical Service Corps, and clinical experience in Army optometry clinics.

He previously served as Chief of the Department of Specialty Care at Keller Army Community Hospital at West Point and continues to provide intermittent eye care to the West Point community alongside his teaching responsibilities.
