معرفی
Andrew Grime is an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at the School of Earth and Oceans, University of Western Australia. His research focuses on structural engineering challenges in offshore and marine environments, particularly fatigue assessment of risers and marine structures. He leads projects involving probabilistic frameworks, machine learning applications, and reliability-based design processes.
Research Interests: Fatigue life prediction, riser system integrity, probabilistic failure quantification, and lifecycle analysis of marine infrastructure. His work integrates Bayesian methods and data-driven approaches to enhance structural reliability in harsh environments.
Key Collaborations: Active in offshore engineering projects with Woodside Energy Limited and ARC-funded initiatives. His recent work includes fatigue monitoring frameworks for flexible risers and Bayesian machine learning models for steel catenary risers.
Grants: FutureLab OceanWorks Collaboration (2022-2025) and ARC Research Hub for Transforming Energy Infrastructure (2021-2026). These projects address digital engineering innovations and long-term infrastructure resilience.
Labs/Teams: Involved with multidisciplinary teams at UWA’s Oceans Institute and the ARC Centre for offshore engineering solutions.
