Andrew Geddes

Andrew Geddes is a Full-time Professor at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies within the European University Institute. He serves as Director of the Migration Policy Centre and coordinates major EU-funded projects like INNOVATE (2024-2027), which strengthens research-policy engagement through a Migration Research to Policy Co-Lab.

His research spans Migration Politics, Global Migration Governance, and Policy Analysis. Recent work examines criminalized migration, refugee protection networks, and governance repertoires across Europe and North America. Articles highlight EU policy fragmentation, transnational mobility frameworks, and the interplay between supranational institutions and regional dynamics.
