Andrew Fiore-Gartland

Andrew Fiore-Gartland, PhD is a Principal Staff Scientist in the Biostatistics, Bioinformatics and Epidemiology Program within the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. He serves as Co-Director of the Vaccine and Immunology Statistical Center (VISC) and is a faculty member of the NIH HIV Vaccine Trials Network (HVTN), leading quantitative research teams focused on accelerating vaccine development for TB, HIV, COVID-19, and malaria.

His research specializes in computational approaches to understanding immune responses induced by vaccination, with particular expertise in analyzing multiparameter flow cytometry data, T cell receptor repertoire sequencing, and transcriptomic biomarkers. Current projects include TB vaccine trials through HVTN, work with the Seattle Tuberculosis Research Advancement Center (SEATRAC), and developing methods for TCR and single-cell biomarker analysis to identify immunological correlates of protection for vaccines like BCG and M72/AS01E.

As a member of the Translational Data Science Integrated Research Center at Fred Hutch, Dr. Fiore-Gartland actively mentors data scientist and computational biology trainees while developing programming tools for biologists.
