Andrew Farkas

Dr. Andrew Farkas is an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, serving as Course Director for the Toxicology Elective. He specializes in medical toxicology, emergency medicine, and overdose management. His research focuses on clinical pathways for acute conditions, poison control strategies, and outcomes of drug overdoses. Dr. Farkas completed his residency and fellowship in Emergency Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh.

Key research interests include alcohol intoxication trends in veterans, pulmonary complications of opioid overdose, and electrolyte abnormalities in intoxicated patients.
