Dr Andrew Conlan is an Associate Professor in Epidemiology at the Department of Veterinary Medicine, University of Cambridge, affiliated with the Disease Dynamics Unit (DDU) and Cambridge Infectious Diseases network. His research focuses on mathematical and statistical modeling of infectious disease transmission and persistence, with applications to bovine tuberculosis, childhood diseases, Norovirus, Campylobacter jejuni, and influenza.

- PhD in Zoology, University of Cambridge (supervised by Bryan Grenfell)
His work emphasizes approximate Bayesian inference methods for stochastic models. Recent research includes collaborations with Takeda Pharmaceuticals and DEFRA, addressing challenges in disease control policy. He is also involved in the Transmissible Cancer Group's studies on canine and Tasmanian devil transmissible cancers.
