Andrew Bloeser is an Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of the Center for Political Participation (CPP) at Allegheny College. He holds a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign. His work focuses on civic engagement, voting rights, and social justice, particularly through partnerships with the Andrew Goodman Foundation (AGF). As faculty advisor to AGF’s Vote Everywhere program, he supports initiatives to increase youth voter turnout and combat voter suppression. His research spans topics like political participation, racial equity, and welfare policy, with notable contributions to understanding descriptive representation and democratic processes. Bloeser’s office is located in Quigley Hall, and he actively engages students through academic advising and community-driven projects.
