Andrew Beer is a Professor and Executive Dean of the UniSA Business School at the University of South Australia. He specialises in housing policy, regional development, industrial transitions, and the governance implications of artificial intelligence. His research addresses challenges such as the impacts of industrial closures (e.g., Australia's automotive sector), resilient regional housing markets, and the role of local governments in addressing homelessness. He has co-authored influential works like the Handbook on City and Regional Leadership (2021) and led policy-oriented studies with the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute (AHURI).
