Andrés Dockendorff Valdés is an Associate Professor at the Academic Unit of International Relations and Global Public Policies, Institute of International Studies, University of Chile. He works full-time (44 hours per week) and holds the following academic degrees:

- Master's degree, University of Chile (2011)
His research focuses on International Relations, Comparative Politics, and Legislative Studies, with specialized interests in trade policy, interest group dynamics, lobbying strategies, and political representation in Chile. His work frequently examines legislative behavior in presidential systems and the impact of socio-economic factors on political processes.
His publications demonstrate a consistent focus on Chilean political institutions, with recent works analyzing interest group influence on trade liberalization (CPTPP), legislative lobbying patterns, and substantive representation of marginalized groups. Methodologically, his research employs both quantitative analyses of legislative behavior and qualitative case studies of policy processes.
