معرفی
Andrei Laurynenka is an Associate Professor and Group Leader of the Plasmonics and Metamaterials Group at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). His research focuses on metamaterials, plasmonics, and nanophotonics, addressing challenges in optical coupling and device miniaturization. He leads initiatives like the Plasmonics and Metamaterials Center and the NanoPhoton – Center for Nanophotonics.
Education: Physics degree from Belarusian State University (1977–1982).
Research Interests: Design of negative-index-material (NIM)-based components for efficient optical coupling, hyperbolic metamaterials, and plasmonic biosensors. His work bridges nanotechnology and sustainable development goals through high-resolution optical systems.
Projects: Supervises PhD projects on UV supercontinuum sources, adaptive phase plates, and metamaterial biosensors. Collaborates on interdisciplinary studies involving materials science and quantum technologies.
Grants & Advising: Oversees multiple funded projects, including EU and industry collaborations. Advises students on topics like third-harmonic generation and photonic crystal engineering.
Labs/Teams: Active in DTU's Electro department, leading teams in metamaterial fabrication and characterization.
