Dr. Andrei Codescu is a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Physics at Imperial College London, affiliated with the Photonics Group and Blackett Laboratory. His research focuses on developing optical parametric amplifiers and parametric generation sources in the mid-infrared region, collaborating with the US Air Force Research Labs. He holds a PhD in physics from Germany, specializing in femtosecond pump-probe spectroscopy of ultrafast molecular dynamics in solution, and completed his BEng and MSc in applied engineering physics and biophysics in Romania, with prior research on organic semiconducting polymers for flexible electronics.
