معرفی
Andreas Yiotis is an Associate Professor at the School of Mineral Resources Engineering, Technical University of Crete (TUC), Greece. His research focuses on theoretical and numerical modeling of transport processes in porous media, including applications in Enhanced Oil Recovery, Soil Remediation, and geologic CO2 sequestration. He collaborates with institutions like MIT, University of Stuttgart, and IFPEN. His work integrates microfluidics, pore-scale modeling, and computational fluid dynamics.
Key research areas include multiphase flow dynamics, pore network modeling, and experimental validation using advanced techniques like X-ray micro-CT. He advises students such as Dimitris Papadimitriou (Diploma Thesis) and Ioannis Zarikos (PhD).
He leads the Environmental Research Laboratory at TUC, which houses a high-performance computing cluster for environmental modeling and simulations. Notable collaborations include organizing a short course on microfluidics at Interpore 2019 and hosting international conferences.
