Andreas Wagner

Professor Andreas Wagner serves as Professor of Design and Machine Elements in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at OTH Regensburg, where he also holds the position of Dean of Studies. His office is located at Galgenbergstraße 30, Room B 013, with office hours on Tuesdays from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM by pre-registration via email.

Professor Wagner earned his Mechanical Engineering degree from OTH Regensburg in 2003, completed his PhD on 'Simulation and experiments on γ-type Stirling engines' through the University of Cardiff in 2008, and later obtained an MBA in International Management (2011-2014) with studies across multiple international universities.

His research expertise spans design engineering and machine elements with particular focus on drive technology systems. Professor Wagner directs multiple laboratory facilities including the Drive Technology Laboratory, Laboratory for Precision Metrology, and Laboratory for Development Applications. His teaching covers construction principles and machine elements with courses available through the ELO platform.

Before transitioning to academia in 2016, Professor Wagner accumulated over 13 years of industry experience, progressing from Engineer to Technical Director at Heidolph Elektro GmbH and Heidrive GmbH, where he specialized in drive technology, product development, and strategic planning.
