Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Nevoigt is a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences (FH SWF) since 2008. His expertise lies in chassis technology and technical mechanics, with a focus on simulation and metrological analysis of suspension and damping systems, damage analysis of vehicle shock absorbers, and NVH/fatigue strength tests on advanced systems.
- Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (specialization in design engineering) from RWTH Aachen University (1988–1994)
- Doctorate: Investigation of tribological properties of coated components in hydraulic cylinders and axial piston machines (1999)
His research integrates lightweight components in chassis systems and leverages simulation tools for NVH and fatigue analysis. He leads the Chassis Technology Laboratory at FH SWF, contributing to projects like IMoLa (suspension control arms with aging effects) and HYLEIF (hybrid lightweight suspension struts). Funding bodies include BMWi, BMBF, and Ministry of Economic Affairs NRW.
