Prof. Dr. Andreas Hanemann is a Professor of Computer Networks and Web Technologies at Lübeck University of Applied Sciences since September 2011. He also serves as the representative for students with disabilities, head of the E+I Department's examination board, and a member of the IT security study group. Additionally, he represents TH Lübeck in the German Research Network (DFN).
His research interests focus on wide area networks, network monitoring, and network security. He has contributed to projects such as the GEANT EU-funded initiative and the CNM project, with a particular emphasis on the visualization of performance measurements in nationwide research networks.
Prof. Hanemann completed his PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) at Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich in 2007 and earned his diploma in computer science from the University of Karlsruhe (TH), including a research stay at Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to his current role, he worked as a research staff member at DFN-Verein (Berlin) and the Leibniz Supercomputing Center Munich (2002-2011) and was a visiting lecturer at Ostfalia University in 2010.
At Lübeck University of Applied Sciences, he teaches modules such as Computer Networks (Inf), Communication Networks (EKS), Security Techniques in Communication Networks (MIM), Mobile Communications (MIM), and Software Engineering Project 'Hansesim.'
