Andreas Hacke is a German lawyer, arbitrator, mediator, and academic. He serves as Visiting Lecturer at the University of Oxford's Faculty of Law and Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich (until 2018). He is also Co-director of the Munich Center for Dispute Resolution (MuCDR) at LMU Munich (until 2019). His primary affiliations include St Hugh's College (Oxford) and his law firm Zwanzig Hacke Meilke & Partner.
Education: Legal studies at Heidelberg, Bonn, Leiden, and Münster universities (1994-1999), followed by a PhD (Dr. iur) in 2000. He completed a legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf (2000-2002) and was admitted to the German bar in 2003.
Research focuses on dispute resolution mechanisms (arbitration, mediation), negotiation skills, corporate law, and commercial law. He teaches courses in International Commercial Arbitration and Commercial Negotiation/Mediation.
Professional roles include partner at Zwanzig Hacke Meilke & Partner since 2005, specialized lawyer in commercial/corporate law, and active in resolving complex business disputes through arbitration and mediation.
