Andreas Fischer

Andreas Fischer is an Ordentlicher Professor at the Fribourg School of Engineering and Architecture (HES-SO), specializing in Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning, and Document Analysis. His research focuses on handwriting recognition, graph-based methods, and applications in cultural heritage preservation and medical imaging.

• Hybrid systems for Vietnamese stele keyword spotting
• Medical image analysis (colorectal cancer, tumor budding)
• Large language models for post-OCR correction
