Andreas Fejes is a Professor and Chair of Adult Education Research at Linköping University's Faculty of Educational Sciences, within the Department of Behavioural Sciences and Learning (IBL). His work focuses on citizenship education, migration integration, bibliometrics of adult education, and the marketization of education systems. Fejes holds a PhD in Educational Research (2006), became an Associate Professor in 2008, and a Full Professor in 2012.

Research Interests: Fejes' current projects examine citizenship education beyond formal schooling, the impact of marketization on adult education quality, and migration's role in shaping social inclusion through education. He critically analyzes how policies and discourses position migrants and asylum seekers as 'in deficit,' requiring education to achieve 'full citizenship.'
Publications: Recent work includes analyses of curricular transformations in adult education, neoliberal market codes affecting teacher practices, and historical studies of Sweden's folk high schools. His articles address migration's intersection with language learning, policy implementation, and the formation of entrepreneurial citizenship.
Grants & Leadership: Editor of the European Journal for Research on the Education and Learning of Adults, chairs Sweden's national research program on popular education, and advises international journals. He leads research teams examining education's role in fostering social cohesion and critical citizenship.
Labs/Teams: Active in the Division of Education and Adult Learning (PVL), a global leader in adult education research. Collaborates with scholars across Europe on migration, policy, and educational equity.
