Andreas Emil Feldmann

Dr. Andreas Emil Feldmann holds the position of Senior Lecturer in Algorithms at the University of Sheffield's School of Computer Science since 2023. His academic journey includes a Diploma in Computer Science from RWTH Aachen (2007), a Doctor of Sciences from ETH Zurich (2012), and a habilitation from Charles University in Prague (2021). He has held postdoctoral positions at the University of Waterloo (2012–2015) and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (2015). His research focuses on combinatorial optimization, parameterized approximation algorithms, network design, and clustering, with notable contributions to survivable network design, highway dimension graphs, and algorithmic lower bounds. He has organized workshops like the Parameterized Approximation Algorithms Workshop (PAAW) and serves on program committees for major conferences such as ICALP and IPEC. His work has been recognized, including a 2022 teaching award at Charles University.
