Andreas Carus

Andreas Carus is a Clinical Associate Professor and Overlæge at Aalborg University Hospital, affiliated with the Department of Oncology within the Faculty of Medicine. His primary research focuses on urothelial cancer treatment, immune system interactions with cancer, and cancer-related malnutrition (sarcopenia). He chairs the Danish Medical Council group on bladder cancer and serves on the board of the Danish Bladder Cancer Group (DaBlaCa).

He holds a PhD (2013) in Chronic inflammation and cancer: Prognostic impact of neutrophils and macrophages in solid tumor. His work emphasizes real-world studies evaluating novel therapies and patient-reported outcomes, collaborating with institutions like the Clinical Research Unit (CRU) and Clinical Cancer Research Center (CCRC).
