Andreas Beck

Andreas Beck serves as Professor and Dean of Studies at Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences, where he leads academic programs in building physics through the Competence Center for Acoustic and Thermal Building Physics.

His research centers on thermal-hygric building physics with specialized expertise in vacuum thermal insulation systems, phase-change materials (PCM), low-emissivity coatings, and sustainable building energy solutions. He investigates material-science applications for improving building envelopes while addressing urban climate impacts through integrated energy efficiency frameworks.

As head of the Competence Center, he directs interdisciplinary collaborations focused on practical implementations of advanced building physics technologies, bridging theoretical research with industry applications in sustainable construction.
