Andreas Anastasiou

Andreas Anastasiou serves as a Teaching Fellow in Journalism, Media and Communication at the School of Media, Communication and Sociology, University of Leicester, UK. His research critically examines the implementation of journalistic principles in real-world contexts, focusing on tensions between patriotic values and professional ethics in Greece and Turkey, alongside comparative analyses of news selection processes across the UK, Sweden, and Greece. This work, rooted in his PhD thesis 'To be published or not to be? Deciding what’s news in the UK Sweden and Greece', prioritizes actionable insights for journalists, educators, and the public.
