Dr. Andrea Salmon serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary, where she practices as an adult epileptologist with the Calgary Comprehensive Epilepsy Program.
Her academic journey includes:
- Undergraduate Neuroscience degree from University of Lethbridge
- Medical degree from University of Alberta
- Neurology residency at Western University
- Clinical fellowship in epilepsy and EEG at Western University
Dr. Salmon's clinical expertise centers on adult epilepsy management, with specialized proficiency in electroencephalography (EEG) interpretation and seizure disorder diagnostics. Her practice integrates advanced EEG monitoring with comprehensive clinical evaluation to develop personalized treatment strategies for complex epilepsy cases. Prior to joining the University of Calgary in 2019, she established significant clinical experience as both neurology consultant and EEG Laboratory Medical Director at Chinook Regional Hospital.
