Andrea Papadia

Andrea Papadia is a Lecturer in the Department of Economics and Related Studies at the University of York. Previously, he held positions as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Bonn and a Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence. His research focuses on Economic History, Macroeconomics, and Political Economy, with particular attention to topics such as fiscal policy, slavery's economic impact, and immigration effects in developing countries. His work often explores historical contexts, including Nazi Germany's economic policies, Brazil's development during the 19th and 20th centuries, and the Great Depression's fiscal responses.

Education: Postdoctoral Fellowships at University of Bonn and European University Institute.
