Andrea Nino is a Ph.D. candidate in Urban and Regional Development at Politecnico di Torino, associated with the Interuniversity Department of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning (DIST). As an External Collaborator, his work bridges academic research and practical urban planning applications.

His research interests focus on climate-adaptive urban planning, hydrogeological risk management, and sustainable territorial governance. Key projects include integrating ecosystem services into planning processes and analyzing the impact of climate change in the Bisagno Valley.
Recent publications highlight interdisciplinary approaches, including the use of AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) for risk assessment, historical urban planning analysis, and sustainable governance models aligned with the Green New Deal.
Andrea collaborates with Politecnico di Torino faculty and has published co-authored works with Michela Capella, Federico Farina, and Valentina Piantoni, among others. His current research explores adaptive strategies for climate-resilient cities and historical planning lessons from Giampiero Vigliano.
