Andrea Micke-Serin is a Professor at the Catholic University of the West (UCO Angers), holding roles as Educational Manager for LLCER English/French and the University Semester Abroad (SUE), and Academic Director of the 'Arts, Languages and Heritage' course. She has been at UCO since 1993, teaching German language, literature, and cultural studies. Her research focuses on Prince Hermann von Pückler-Muskau, cultural transfers between France and Germany, 19th-century letter networks, and nobility studies. She co-organized major conferences like Les Oublié.e.s et les Invisibles (2021/2022) and lectures widely on Franco-German cultural history. Her recent publications include a collaborative book on forgotten historical figures (2024) and studies on Pückler’s correspondence and identity narratives. Active in educational programs, she also engages in community outreach through cultural exhibitions and Franco-German partnership initiatives.
