Andrea Mendoza is an Assistant Professor in Japanese and Comparative Literatures at the University of California San Diego. Her research focuses on intersections between Japanese and Latin American literary/visual texts, intellectual history, philosophy, and critical studies frameworks. She holds a B.A. from Connecticut College and a Ph.D. in Asian Literature, Religion, and Culture (Japan focus) from Cornell University.
