Andrea Hergenroeder is a Professor and Assistant Dean for Faculty Affairs and Development at the University of Pittsburgh's School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. She also serves as the Director of the Rehabilitation Science (BS) Program and is affiliated with the Department of Community Health Services and Rehabilitation Science.
Research Interests: Her work focuses on exercise, physical activity, and sedentary behavior interventions to enhance physical function and reduce disease risk. She has a strong clinical background in physical therapy, particularly in cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation across diverse healthcare settings.
Publication Trends: Her recent research explores the use of wearable monitors in older adults, telerehabilitation for lung transplant patients, and exercise interventions for hemodialysis patients. The studies emphasize clinical applicability, measurement accuracy, and behavior change in vulnerable populations.
