Andrea Droghetti

Andrea Droghetti is a Fixed-Term Researcher (Type B - RTDB) at the Department of Molecular Sciences and Nanosystems, Ca' Foscari University of Venice. Previously, he held research positions at the National Research Council (CNR-SPIN) and Trinity College Dublin, where he led the Quantum Transport and Spectroscopy Group as a Royal Society University Research Fellow. He earned his Ph.D. (2012) and Master's (2007) in Physics from Trinity College Dublin and the University of Bologna respectively, both with top honors.

• Current research focuses on quantum transport, spintronics, and electron correlation effects in molecular and nanoscale systems.
• His work spans ab-initio simulations, magnetic heterostructures, and topological materials, with significant contributions to spin Hall effect and organic radical junctions.
• Recent publications (2025) explore ferroelectric photovoltaics, hybrid magnetic bilayers, and p-wave magnets, reflecting advanced applications in quantum computing and nanoelectronics.

Scientific awards include the Marie Skłodowska-Curie and Juan de la Cierva fellowships. His teaching portfolio includes Computational Physics and Modern Condensed Matter Physics at the graduate level.
