معرفی
Andrea Cuentas-Condori is a Research Fellow in the Department of Neuroscience and Cell Biology at Yale University School of Medicine. She is a member of the Colón-Ramos Lab, focusing on synaptic biology and neuronal communication mechanisms in C. elegans. Her research explores how neurons co-transmit neurotransmitters and regulate behavior through synaptic remodeling processes. She holds a PhD in Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University (2021) and a BSc from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia.
Education:
- PhD in Neuroscience, Vanderbilt University, 2021
- BSc, Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia
Research Interests: Synaptic plasticity, neuronal communication dynamics, molecular mechanisms of synapse remodeling, and functional roles of dual neurotransmitter transmission. Her work combines genetic, imaging, and molecular techniques in C. elegans to study nervous system complexity and behavior regulation.
Awards:
- Hanna Gray Fellow, Howard Hughes Medical Institute (2022)
- Latin American Pew Fellow, The Pew Charitable Trusts (2021)
- Jane Coffin Childs Fellow (2021)
Labs/Teams: Colón-Ramos Lab, Yale School of Medicine.
