Andrea Baños Ramos

Andrea Baños Ramos is a predoctoral researcher at the Institute for Research in Technology (IIT) at Universidad Pontificia Comillas, where she focuses on interdisciplinary research at the intersection of intelligent systems, cybersecurity, and social sciences. She holds a BSc and MSc in Economics from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), specializing in econometrics and quantitative methods, and a second MSc in Computational Social Sciences (UC3M).

Her research interests include serious games, probabilistic graphical causal models, cybercrime, cyberbullying, and agent-based simulation models. Recent work explores the use of video games as research tools for studying cyberbullying, presented at conferences such as the 11th International Conference on Computational Social Science (IC2S2 2025) and the X Jornadas Nacionales de Investigación en Ciberseguridad (JNIC 2025).

Prior experience includes internships at the Bank of Spain (Structural Analysis department) and Analistas Financieros Internacionales (AFI), where she contributed to financial competence surveys and territorial economic analysis. She is proficient in statistical software (R, Stata, MATLAB) and programming (HTML, Visual Basic).
