Andrea BERARDI is a Research Fellow at the Department of Economics of Ca' Foscari University of Venice, affiliated with the Research Institute for Complexity. Previously, he held a Full Professor position at the University of Verona (1998–2014) and served as CFO of a Swiss biopharma company during a career break (2015–2017). He earned a Ph.D. in Finance from London Business School, a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Brescia, and a B.A. in Economics (summa cum laude) from Ca' Foscari University of Venice.
His research focuses on quantitative finance, econometrics, and macroeconomic linkages, with emphasis on term structure modeling, inflation dynamics, bond market predictability, and pension economics. Key contributions include analyzing risk-return tradeoffs in retirement savings, inflation risk premia, and yield curve behavior across international markets.
BERARDI has taught advanced courses on derivatives and insurance at the Master's level, including the Economics and Finance program (DM270). His recent work addresses long-term financial planning, Eurozone monetary policy impacts, and macroeconomic drivers of bond markets. His research exhibits a strong empirical focus, combining theoretical models with practical applications in finance and policy design.
