Andrea Atzeni

Andrea Atzeni serves as an External Lecturer at Politecnico di Torino, holding dual appointments in the Department of Control and Computer Engineering (DAUIN) and Department of Management and Production Engineering (DIGEP). He actively contributes to the College of Management and Production Engineering as a full member and the College of Computer, Film and Mechatronics Engineering as an invited member.

His research spans critical cybersecurity domains including hardware security, quantum cryptography, and mobile malware analysis. Current investigations focus on virtualizing trusted platform modules, integrating quantum key distribution in cloud environments, and developing advanced malware detection systems through his involvement with the TORSEC Security Group.

Recent publications reveal a strong trajectory in practical security solutions, with emphasis on bridging theoretical cryptography with real-world implementation challenges across cloud infrastructure, mobile platforms, and digital identity systems. His work consistently addresses emerging threats in financial cybersecurity and quantum-resistant technologies.

Teaching responsibilities demonstrate deep specialization in cybersecurity education, covering advanced information systems security, computer forensics, quantum engineering security applications, and digital identity solutions across multiple degree programs including Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, and Management Engineering.

As a course owner for Information Systems Security and collaborator on numerous cybersecurity-related subjects, he shapes curriculum for both Master's and Bachelor's programs while contributing to industry-academia initiatives like Challenge@PoliTo by Firms with Aruba Academy and DIY - Digital Identity projects.
