Andrea Andreoli

Andrea Andreoli is an Assistant Professor at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Faculty of Agricultural, Environmental and Food Sciences, specializing in Agricultural and Forestry Hydraulics. His work focuses on river morphology, sediment transport, and stream restoration, particularly in alpine and Andean environments.

• Education: PhD in Environmental Management from Universidad Austral de Chile; Degree in Forestry and Environmental Sciences from the University of Padua.

Research interests include large wood dynamics, riparian vegetation, global warming impacts on sediment availability, and flow resistance in mountain rivers. His recent publications analyze post-windthrow erosion, bedload transport simulations, and climate-driven sediment cascades in alpine systems.

Andrea teaches courses on Flood Risk Mitigation, Hydromorphology, and Hydrology for degree programs in Agricultural Sciences and Sustainable Mountain Management. He collaborates with the River Basin Group @ FUB and has led field studies in Chile, Italy, and Argentina.
