معرفی
Anders Vik is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the School of Pharmacy, University of Oslo. He is a synthetic organic chemist specializing in medicinal chemistry, eicosanoids, lipid chemistry, and natural product synthesis. His work focuses on oxylipins and method development in organic synthesis, particularly for anti-inflammatory and pro-resolving lipid mediators.
- PhD in Chemistry (2007, University of Oslo)
- MSc in Chemistry (2003, Norwegian University of Science and Technology)
- Visiting Scholar at University of California, Davis (2019)
His research group LIPCHEM investigates synthetic strategies for bioactive compounds derived from polyunsaturated fatty acids, with applications in inflammation resolution, insecticide development, and PPAR receptor modulation. His recent publications emphasize epoxyeicosatrienoic acid analogs, resolvin synthesis, and protectin D1n-3 DPA derivatives.
Anders serves as Chairman of the Division of Organic Chemistry (FOK) in the Norwegian Chemical Society (2023–present) and was a board member (2018–2022). He teaches courses in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (FARM1100) and Pharmaceutically Based Organic Chemistry (FARM1130).
