Anders-Petter Andersson

Anders-Petter Andersson is an Associate Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Department of Design, Faculty of Architecture and Design. He holds a PhD and focuses on musical and multi-sensory interaction design for health promotion, emphasizing ecocentric technology (IoT and AI) to enhance physical, social, and mental well-being. His work addresses diverse user groups, including children with severe disabilities and elderly individuals with dementia, through participatory design and research-by-design methodologies.

Research interests include 'Musicking' (music as relational activity), interactive music composition systems with modular design, and universal design principles. He supervises doctoral candidates such as Ann Kristin Forshaug (NTNU) and Rune Rosseland (University of Oslo). Andersson leads projects like HackOurHealthEcology (2023-2025) and collaborates with institutions like the Research Council of Norway (NFR) and Diakonhjemmet University College.

Publications span co-design methodologies, health-promoting technologies, and interactive art installations such as Polly World, which engages schools and communities. His work bridges art, technology, and healthcare to foster inclusive, regenerative systems.
