Anders Perlinge is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Institute for Economic and Business History Research at Stockholm School of Economics. He holds a Ph.D. in Ethnology from Stockholm University (2013) and became an Associate Professor (Docent) in 2013. His research focuses on financial history, particularly household economies in 19th century Stockholm and cultural economic history. He is affiliated with the Foundation for Economic History Research within Banking and Enterprise.
Education: Ph.D. in Ethnology (Stockholm University), Docent (Associate Professor) since 2013.
Research interests include financial systems in pre-modern Sweden, microhistorical analysis of economic actors, and gendered financial agency. Current projects explore Gösta Adrian-Nilsson's financial legacy and household asset/debt patterns in 19th century Stockholm.
Major publications include monographs on Stockholm's economic crises, banking history, and rural credit systems. He received the 2018 Democracy Scholarship for his contributions to cultural economic history.
Professional roles include membership in the Academic Advisory Board for Economic History Research in Banking and Enterprise.
