Professor Anders Johan W. Andersen is Dean of the Faculty of Health and Sports Sciences at the University of Agder since 2016, following his role as Head of the Department of Psychosocial Health from 2013–2016. A psychiatric nurse by training, he specializes in mental health work with clinical focus on child and adolescent mental health. His research spans psychosocial health, user participation in welfare services, and wilderness therapy applications for adolescents.

• Capability Approach in child welfare systems
