Anders Esmark

Anders Esmark is an Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Copenhagen. His research focuses on public governance, integrating political theory, sociology, and public administration.

• Research areas: Technocracy, democracy, policy design, network governance, digitalization, behavioral regulation.
• Current work explores the 'New Technocracy' and the technocracy-populism conflict.

Publications address socio-technological governance, risk management, and tensions between administrative expertise and democratic legitimacy. Key journals include New Political Economy, Journal of Social Policy, and Politics.
